Bespoke emergency lighting designs from MR Electrical Ltd
According to construction law, commercials builds must have an emergency lighting system in place so that people can safely leave the premises should the mains power fail. MR Electrical can plan, design and implement a scheme that meets European standards for lighting levels, clearly visible exit signage and rapidly responsive luminaires.
Professional installation
All emergency lighting work is carried out by qualified and trained electricians. After the installation is finished, the system will be fully tested and certificated and a log book completed. MR Electrical have designed and installed emergency lighting systems in buildings from homes and office blocks to large commercial premises.
Testing and maintenance of your emergency lighting system
Owners or occupiers of commercial premises are required by law to test and maintain the building’s emergency lighting system.
It’s important to check that escape routes are clearly indicated, that fire alarms and fire fighting equipment can be located easily and that enough illumination is provided along escape routes. A fire alarm system should be routinely maintained and tested, to ensure that it will perform to its optimum level when needed. The British Standard Institute recommends that a system is tested and maintained quarterly.
